A big reward for not much effort: Getting one’s name into the largest summit book in the Alps does not mean having to complete a demanding mountain tour. Start in total comfort by taking the number 8 cable car from Tannheim up to the Neunerköpfle mountain station at 1,756 metres. From there it is about 1 km along an experience path with 11 informative stops on nature, the mountains and the lives of the local animals. Children are welcome along too, but buggies should be left at home. The very smallest will ideally enjoy the excursion in a back carrier. Older children look forward to the interactive games at the display panels, which provide exciting insights into the secrets of nature in the mountains.

Hiking, viewing and gasping
Adults also rediscover their love of fun and games here, for example making music with the cow-bell game. Once at the summit of the Neunerköpfle (1,862 m), the largest summit book in the Alps (3 metres tall and 2.3 metres wide) waits for an entry. When open it measures 4.6 metres across. However, don’t forget to look at the wonderful view all around. The long-distance view is fascinating.
The Neunerköpfle experience path can be hiked daily in good weather. The walk lasts about one hour depending on how long you stop at each station. Solid shoes are advisable, and take a windcheater and rainproofs just in case.
