Above Schnann in the Stanz Valley lies a natural monument marked by raging waters: the Schnann Gorge, steeped in legend. It can be reached on foot in five minutes from the middle of Schnann. The water thunders through the narrow gorge down into the valley over steep rocks and two powerful dam walls. To make it possible for everyone to access this impressive display of nature, the gorge has been made safe to step and walk through with a system of iron pathways. On the path through the imposing rock walls, along the roaring wild stream, past the waterfalls, one has the feeling of being able sense the powerful force of nature within oneself. Climbing shoes are useful, especially for the path to the dam walls.
