At an elevation of 1,300 metres, ensconced in a magical meadow landscape at the foot of the Hohe Salve, lies the idyllic Filzalmsee, just five minutes’ walk from the Hochbrixen mountain station. It belongs to the Wilder Kaiser Brixental SkiWorld and is an ideal starting point for easy hikes to the various worlds of experience around the holiday region. However, before starting out for new destinations, it is well worth discovering the recreational oasis around the Filzalmsee and its many attractions. Adults seeking peace and quiet will feel as good here as active children who can tumble around to their heart’s content in the world of games around the lake.
A mountain experience for the whole family
In the lake lives a sleeping giant that can be awoken. However, he does not react to being called – you have to put in a bit of effort on a treadmill to draw him out. It’s always a big surprise when he pops up. Otherwise, everything else here is gigantic: a giant hand that can be moved with ropes, a giant spray, a giant eye, a giant xylophone and a small and large “giant trail” bear witness to an old saga from the area. Nature can also be wonderfully discovered: The biotope located directly alongside the lake gives exciting insights into the life in the pond. Children can also be enthused about “wellness” in the moor paddling pool, Kneipp arm bath, wading pool, during a foot massage and the “Sole Experience”.
