The whole family has come to the right place the Hainzenberg goldmine near Zell in the Zillertal valley, for there is so much to see and experience here. Since gold-digging miners also have to eat, the tour begins at the Hochzell cheese meadow. A faithfully restored meadow hut over 150 years old houses a small museum, where visitors can learn interesting things about cheese making. The tour then continues in the tunnels of the goldmine to an impressive multimedia presentation on mining for gold. Right next to the cheese factory is an extensive vivarium with local mountain game, small game and other small animals!
