Welcome to the realm of the Spirit of the Gorge, in this ancient landscape of rock and wild waters. From Leutasch, the Spirit Gorge is reached via the Spirit of the Gorge path (3,000 metres long). At one point it runs along an 800 metre path offering breathtaking views of the 23 metre high waterfall. In the roaring castle of whirlpools and thundering cascades, the Spirit of the Gorge gets up to all sorts of tricks and recounts myths and sagas from his realm at several points along the way. At the exit of the gorge, which is up to 75 metres deep, live the goblins and water dwarves. They are shy creatures that can only be seen and heard by those who leave everyday life behind and dive into the secret world of the Spirit Gorge with all their senses.
How to get there
From Seefeld through Weidach, in the area of Gasse turn right towards Unterleutasch. After approx. 7 km (just before the border) arrive at the area of Schanze, the starting point for the tour. Plenty of parking available.
Opening times
From the starting point Schanz, the Leutasch Spirit Gorge can be accessed at any time.
Prices
Entry to the Leutasch Spirit Gorge is free of charge, parking fee for cars: € 5,00. The entry fee for the original Leutasch Gorge (accessible from Mittenwald) is € 1,60 for adults and € 0,80 for children.
